Karen Saxon
Karen Saxon is a Buffalo, NY native and veteran music educator with over
25 years in Buffalo Public Schools. She holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance
from Buffalo State University and an M.S.Ed in Educational Administration
from the University of Scranton. She teaches at City Honors School and
is an adjunct voice professor at Buffalo State. Karen co-founded AnsariSaxon Productions in 2025 and has led musical direction for Shea’s Once
On This Island, Ujima Theater’s The Color Purple, and Co-Directed and led Musical Direction on Dreamgirls, a co-production with AnsariSaxon and Shea's PAC. She serves on several arts boards and is Chair of the Buffalo NAACP ACT-SO Committee.
